Brittany & Jake

Jake and Brittany are two of my very best friends. I not only had the great honor of designing florals for their wedding, but I also had the pleasure of standing by their sides on the big day. I will say that on their wedding day there was an absurd amount of joyful tears (mostly coming from myself). Ceremony being an emotional journey— from Brittany’s dad walking her down the aisle and gripping so hard he could barely let go, the tears I saw Jake wipe away ever so quickly, or the way they kissed when they were finally husband and wife (after nearly a decade of dating). And then there was the speeches. The outpour of love that everyone put into the thoughtfulness of their words for Brittany and Jake was something I will honestly cherish for the rest of my life (SO MANY TEARS). Like I said, a pleasure to be standing by their sides.

These are folks I see mostly every week, that I talk to at least once a day, and whom I love so very dearly, but there was something truly magical happening on their wedding day. I will never forget the way the crisp fall air smelt, the way the flowers dance in the sunshine, the laughs around the bonfire, Brittany’s perfect makeup, the dancing that filled the room, or how they looked at one another all night. Honestly, it was perfect.

As you can see from the photos in this gallery, the love was felt ten fold. I thank Brittany and Jake for letting me be a part of their day and I am so lucky I am able to see their journey play out in real time. Enjoy!
